I replaced the long bolt with a correct length one and it gets to a point and jumps threads. I think the easy fix is to find a new bolt thats a tiny bit thicker. Then get a tap and tap it for that bolt. As long as the head fits, it would work and you wouldnt know it was fixed.
Someone would have to weld on some metal and grind to repair that groove filed in it, but it could be fixed too. These dont show up for sale often, so would be worth the little repair to someone. Please look at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions.
