NOS late 80s Sugino XP "Hidden Bolt" Tandem Cranksets, made in Japan. NOS/New in the original packages and in mint NOS condition. Taken out of the packages for the first time for photos.

Includes the full set of front and rear cranksets with original black anodized 7075 alloy chainrings and chainring bolts. 5 arm hidden bolt design with the fifth bolt behind the crank arm.

110/74mm bolt circle, 170mm arm lengths for standard square taper JIS spindles. 32/42/54 tooth rings on the triple crankset, 38 tooth rings on the left side timing cranks. The XP was one of the best offerings from Sugino and often used on the finest tandem, touring and mountain bikes in the late 80s. The forging is super crisp, highest quality rings, recessed and painted logos and a beautiful finish and design.

They were also pretty rare, an NOS full tandem set even rarer. I got this set from local legend frame builder Terry Osell, now 83. He specialized in custom making tandem framesets amongst many other framesets and always had unique tandem components in his brick and mortar bike shop "Osell's Custom Frames" in Minneapolis. Would be great on the nicest of tandem bikes like Gary Fisher, Salsa, Co-Motion, Devinci, Cannondale, Ibis and others.
